There are many things to consider in the decision of which GPS tracking company to work with. At AP GPS Systems we have been researching GPS tracking solutions for over 2 years, before marketing the systems that we currently offer. We realize that there is a lot more to think about than pricing, even though we aim to offer the best prices at the high level of real-time tracking that we provide.
A critical aspect of a tracking system is the GPS Tracking Device itself. In choosing our tracking units, we first looked at features. We wanted to make sure that the latest options would be available, including a panic button, ignition cutoff, etc. Yet none of these features would matter, if the units were not well built and able to withstand the rigors of heat, dust, and wear & tear. We tested many devices (some now in the garbage), to arrive at the APGPS-Gold, which is rugged and resistant to malfunction, due to heat and vibration. It contains a Siemens chip, which is known for its high quality and standard. We also work with our manufacturer to improve our devices, when newer GPS technology is available.
Another critical aspect of a tracking solution is the Software. We have been researching tracking software systems and packages for a long time, and realize that just the virtue of offering tracking software is not enough. Some of the tracking solutions we examined, had many features, yet would not be easy or intuitive to use, others would be intuitive but lacking in features. We spent hundreds of hours in the planning, feature selection, and layout concept for our APGPS-Track software. We listen to customer feedback, and we are constantly looking to add features and make improvements. We also use the latest high end servers to host our system.
The next critical aspect is Support. Most likely you have had some experience with companies that have great products and services, but lousy support, and the other side of the coin, great support, but mediocre products. At AP-GPS we know that both are critical. Even the best equipment can malfunction, so you have to know that you will get the support you need, quickly, to remedy the problem, either, by phone, email, or live-chat.
